Holle Bolle Boom with children: choose what you want to do first

The Holle Bolle Boom has three experiences: Spelen, Plonsen and Roetsjen. If climbing and sliding are your main plans, look at the indoor playground. For water fun, explore the Plons or the water park. Book the activity your family wants to do.

For indoor play, the provider specifies ages 0 to 11. There is a separate area for the youngest children, the Minigaard. Do not assume the same age guidance applies to a 12-year-old; ask the provider which activity is suitable.

Indoor play on a rainy day

Do the children feel like climbing, jumping and sliding? Choose indoor play. With a toddler, start in the area for the youngest children. Older children can explore other play equipment, subject to the provider’s rules.

With children of different ages, you do not have to book both play and swimming straight away. One activity may be enough. Decide what the children most want to do and consider how much supervision the youngest need.

Water play with young children: what should you know?

The Plons has separate Holle Bolle Boom rules. Children without a swimming certificate must wear armbands. Swim nappies are required for children who are not yet toilet trained. Children without a swimming certificate and children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Pack differently for swimming than for a playground visit. Bring swimwear and towels, and read the rules for the slides and the activity you want to book. Armbands are no substitute for supervision.
